Operetta Dedicated to Shaikha Fatima

ABU DHABI — Shaikh Hazza’a bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Chairman of the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) announced the dedication of the operetta
‘The Civil Society’ to Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), Chairperson of the General Women’s Union (GWU) and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood as well as to the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the nation for his achievements
and efforts to build the UAE civil society.
The operetta, hosted by NCEMA and performed by students from Al Buteen School, is intended to send the message of unity and social consciousness, was organised by the Abu Dhabi Education council as a tribute to Shaikha Fatima as the Mother of the Nation.
In statements at a forum on the preparations for the forthcoming second annual Crisis and Emergency Management Conference (CEMC 2010) to be held in Abu Dhabi in January 2010, Shaikh Hazza’a said Shaikha Fatima follows the steps of the late Shaikh Zayed and the UAE nationals fully recognise and appreciate the humanitarian and social roles she is playing in service of all segments of the community.
“The operetta is just a simple and humble present to Shaikha
Fatima,” Shaikh Hazza’a said.
Hoisting the flags of the UAE and those of sponsors and partners, students formed the figure 7 in Arabic representing the UAE’s seven emirates, the 7 partners and 7 sponsors of the forum as well as the symbol of victory.
The three-day conference, organised by NCEMA, in association with the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, Critical National Infrastructure Authority, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Health Authority – Abu Dhabi, Dubai Customs and the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) will be held from January 11 to 13 at the ECSSR Auditorium in Abu Dhabi
